Kareena was born to Sindhi-speaking Babita (nee Shivdasani) and Punjabi-speaking Randhir Kapoor in urban center, India. She has associate degree elder sister, Karisma.
She is born during a family that are actors for generations, together with her paternal great-grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor; her granddaddy, dominion Kapoor; her paternal uncles, Shammi, Shashi, Rishi, and Rajiv; moreover as auntie, Neetu Singh, & Jennifer Edward Kendall, the wives of Rishi and Shashi severally. On her maternal facet, her granddaddy, Hari Shivdasani, and aunt, Sadhana, are actors in their own rights.
